Space holds the physical objects. River is space. Without the space, river cannot hold water. Without the slope in the space, the water cannot flow.
Likewise, a thing is the conceptual space for holding the concepts of physical objects in reality.
Any physical objects in reality can be in a thing as soon as you point to them and make a statement indicating the object is a thing you are describing or stating. Whether the object was in motion or rest, it will be contained in the conceptual space of a thing.
It proves that space can be physical as well as conceptual in nature.
