Is there a way to underline text?
Since underlining is generally considered to be bad practice in both online and print contexts, and is contrary to most style guides, it tends not to be encouraged in software that pays attention to good typography and style conventions.
That said, the answer is yes, there is a way to do it. Use BBCode, like this:
[u]Underlined text[/u] => Underlined text

I had the mistaken idea that it was used in citing works. That was a style I used as a young man but now I realize that its use as a hypertext indicator has supplanted the practice.
