Hello, Jamal!
Thank you for your two replies, which I honestly did not expect.
I very much need to ask you an important question.
I participated in the Political Philosophy category, where I wrote several posts in a topic about communism. During the discussion, the subject of egoism and altruism arose, and I have long observed a certain confusion in discussions of these concepts. I already had a written text on this subject, so I decided to publish it as a separate topic. However, I felt that this topic did not quite fit within Political Philosophy and was closer to Ethics, where I published it under the title “On Human Egoism and the Pattern of Personal Interest.”
It remained there for about a week and, after around 50 views, did not attract much interest. Meanwhile, as I had promised in the communism discussion, in order to further develop my idea about personal interest in human existence, I wrote a large topic titled “Research on the Role of Personal Interest in Human Life.” But this topic clearly went beyond the scope of both Political Philosophy and Ethics. After some thought, I decided that its proper place was in the Social Philosophy category, where I published it. I also believe it will have continuation, as I had previously promised.
(It already has many comments there.)
However, here too — even more than in the communism discussion — there immediately arose a strong need to post the previously mentioned topic about egoism and altruism. I am afraid to do this because I know that forum rules prohibit publishing the same topic in multiple categories.
My request is this: would you allow me to do so? In order not to violate the rules, I would be willing to remove the topic from Ethics entirely (perhaps leaving only a note there saying that the topic has been moved to Social Philosophy).
This is my main question and request.
As for the deletion of my technical Ukrainian-language post, I will write to you separately about that, if you do not mind
