Lost my compose window

I am used to posting with the topic text on top, my raw compose window in lower left, and preview compose in lower right. I hit a wrong key I think and raw window is gone, leaving only preview, which I can type in, but have little control over formatting such as leading a quote with “> xxx” rather than full /quote marks and such.

Anyway, there’s some buttons on upper right to hide compose window, fullscreen it, or same it, but I can’t seen to find a way to restore what used to be the default side by side view.

Sounds like you switched to WYSIWYG editing. There’s a button at the top left of the edit box to change back to Markdown.

I’m on a phone right now so the screenshot below is the best I can do:

Actually, if you don’t have side-by-side, maybe that’s something else. There’s a button at the bottom somewhere to put it in side-by-side view.

Thanks. Meant to mention WYSIWYG for what I called ‘preview’.

Yes, that changed it back. Hunted all over, and thought it was a keyboard shortcut since something I did on the keyboard seemed to switch it in the first place.
