How do you systematically study applied design/tech?

Hey everyone,

Taking a quick step back from the usual epistemology threads for a more practical question.

I’ve been wanting to properly study modern digital design systems and interactive media—less as a casual hobby and more as a structured discipline to complement my work. The issue I keep running into is purely logistical. Most structured mentorships or live cohort environments I look into are rooted in European or American timezones, which means live discussions happen at 3 AM or 4 AM local time here in Asia.

I know self-study through reading and digging through articles is always an option, but for complex, applied fields like design or game tech, passive reading often lacks critical feedback loops.

Curious to hear how others balance structured learning with regional timezone constraints.
