I’m building Executable Philosophy, an experimental 3D web game that turns Alfred North Whitehead’s process philosophy into a world that players can enter and influence. Instead of teaching Process and Reality through definitions alone, the game presents existence as a continuous process of becoming: every luminous event grows out of earlier events, gathers their influences into a new unity, becomes complete and irreversible, and then remains as part of the past. What looks like one persistent object is actually a “society” of successive events carrying a recognizable pattern forward.
If the first experiment works and people respond positively to it, I would like to explore other philosophers in the same way. My larger goal is to build an accessible platform that helps more people understand and enjoy philosophy through play, interaction, and practical experience. Rather than only reading what a philosopher believed, players would temporarily inhabit a world governed by that philosopher’s ideas and discover what those ideas mean through their own choices.
I just want to announce this. What do you think?
