Who is responsible for the original sin?

Not quite sure if it were punishment. Perhaps they were better off coming down to the real world, and contribute to building human civilisation instead of just existing in the Eden with no purpose in life?

Should it not be seen as blessing?

The desire is the result of their nature. God created them with that nature.

Couldn’t recongnise him. Doesn’t look like God at all to me.

You’re not an expert on what God looks like.

Are you trolling!? What you are saying makes no sense at all.

Is anyone? Are you? All image ever produced for God is just out of imagination of the artist.

If you claim you know true face of God, you are not being frank.

I was just suggesting different ideas for deeper thought. It is perfectly reasonable way to think on the situation in anyone’s mind.

You need to be able to see the points from different angles and have courage to accept the point if they make sense from current world point of view no matter how remote and ancient in time topics we are discussing.

Just because someone’s idea is different from yours doesn’t mean it is troll, and dismissing it so, without any thoughts would be anti philosophical attitude.

There is nothing in the story that tells us that this desire is the result of their nature. In fact, the term ‘nature’ plays no role. Man has ways, and they are open, not pre-established.

It’s not stated anywhere that man has ways that are not pre-established

So, where was their desire coming from?

It is not explicitly stated, but it is clear that what man will do is not fixed. Was it pre-established that Cain would kill his brother? What does it mean for God to tell him that he must rule over sin if he had no choice?

Where do your desires come from?

It is not stated anywhere that what man will do is not fixed. The word “pre-established” does not appear in Genesis.

My desires are certainly coming from my nature. Humans are curious creatures, and that is built in. We are mostly different from other animals because our natures are different.

Not true. Our primary differences result from our culture, not our nature. Our thoughts are shaped by language, traditions, mores and myths (including the Adam and Eve story). We create ourselves – because we created our culture. Most of our desires – for romance, for knowledge, for “success” – are culturally constituted.

Are parents “responsible” for the crimes of their children because they created those children? In a sense, they are. The crimes would not have been committed if the children had never been born. So (I suppose) in a sense God is responsible for his Creation. Nonetheless, that doesn’t suggest that Adam and Eve weren’t also responsible.

Why would God tells Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge if it was pre-determined that they would?

When God tells Cain that he must rule over sin this indicates that what Cain does is not pre-established, that he has a choice in the matter.

The whole idea of obedience pre-supposes choice.

The standard view is that God is omniscient, so he must have known Adam would sin.

There is no standard view. Even if one accepts the idea of omniscience that does not mean that they did not have a choice, but only that God knew what they would choose. Foreseen and preordained are not the same.

Did God know that they ate of the tree of knowledge or would eat from in? Did God know that Cain would kill Abel? When God asks Adam and Eve “where are you” is there any indication that he already knew where they were? When he asked: "Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” is there any indication that he already knew? When God asks Cain “Where is your brother Abel” and “What have you done?” what in the story leads you to assume he already knew? It is an assumption you bring to the story based on what you think is the standard view.

Our desire to eat food comes from our nature. The type of food we eat depends on our cultures.

That is certainly not the right way of analyzing things. Our parents can only be held responsible for our sins if the sin was the result of a condition that we have been grown in.

We share our desire to eat food with other animals. Our “cuisine” is what makes us different (or have you forgotten the point you made with which I am differing?).
