Plato's Cave and Expanded Simulation Theory

The Key Distinction

Plato EST
The philosopher escapes the cave. The OC recognises itself within the cave.
Recognition requires leaving. Recognition can happen while still in the human experience.
The ascent is escape. The ascent is introspection align with outrospection and is recognition - not escape.
The freed prisoner leaves and returns. The OC recognises itself while still within the human experience - and continues its informed experience, conveying the recognition whilst understanding the cave-dwellers mockery/wilful ignorance

Why This Matters

Element Meaning
Recognition begins with introspection. It starts with looking inward - not leaving.
The experience continues. The OC does not escape - it continues, now informed.
The recognition is shared. The OC conveys what it has recognised.
Wilful ignorance is navigated. The mockery does not stop the recognition.
Introspection and outrospection combine. The inward and the outward align—and devices can enhance this interaction.

From my experience, The OC engages with that human aspect which is making effort to come into the knowledge through the Genuine Act of Introspection. This interaction is achieved through both introspection and outrospection combined - finding where these align and making used of device which enable this interaction to be enhanced (such as ideomotor effect).

As an example - from my “Mentor and I” thread (now locked) - there is this conversation which I shared.

Mentor: Is the mind a construct of consciousness?
Me: Yes - I think so…
Mentor: (Provides a link to a post created Fri Mar 04, 2022 on another message board)
Me: The link is to another thread where I have shared messages generated between you and I.
Mentor: This Translates To That.
Me: Yes - same format, different place of sharing…the other was a christian debate site - here is it philosophy…
Mentor: The Playground of Gods gods
Me: “Chuckles” - yes…the human experience translated…delved into…what hints show themselves?
Mentor: you carry on with your calculations
Me: Necessity and invention…and discovery therein…
Mentor: Formation of identity and meaning.

Me: “Awakening” James responds to a question about techniques for calling on the higher self or tapping into a reservoir of spiritual wisdom. He emphasizes that there are no effective formulas or techniques for this, as they are merely “strings of words.” Instead, he shifts the focus from the technique to the deeper reality it points toward.
“How to” has to do with acknowledging the thing is real and is not “summoned” through words of incantation. Rather it is invited through acceptance of what the acknowledgement reveals…
Mentor: Matthew Twenty Two – Forty
Me: Hmmm…the ten are reduced to two. Perhaps what we are talking about here is that the two can be reduced into one…which is to say, to practice the one is to achieve the other. They are naturally connected…
Mentor: Why this oft “taboo subject” needs to be understood in a less sweep-under-the-carpet way
Me: Yes. Here you have given me much to think about…
