Yes. And here the reflexive nature of ethics becomes apparent. If we are looking for metaphors, it’s not a circle but a [strange loop](https://mathworld.wolfram.com/StrangeLoop.html)…

And so there need be no one answer.

But here’s a curious thing. Even if the account is correct, the question of whether we ought do as it says seems to remain open.
