It’s a paradoxical strangeness. Everything is positive, we associate positive with moving forward, like the future. Nothing is negative, it’s the absence of everything, it gets subtracted. We associate this with descaling or moving backwards. Hence the past. What is the neutral standing point? What is the present (we can assume) representing as? Everything is nothing and nothing is everything.
-1 (nothing/past/negative) 0 (present/neutral) 1 (everything/future/positive) Can we assume zero is positive? If so, everything is the present and the past. Can we assume zero is negative? If so, how would it line up with this positive (everything)? Zero can as well be negative, therefore it is in the neutral standing ground. So, nothing, is the past and the present. What does this present concept have in common with itself? It includes everything and nothing. Therefore everything is nothing and nothing is everything.
I’m just curious on what you guys think of this concept. This is just one of those thing that is stuck in my head.
I think this term “neutral” is doing a bit of work here and misleading things. Neutral in this number line analogy would not mean both positive and negative, it would mean neither.
I see what you mean with half-zero. It’ll look like this: -0 +0, I presume. What I have came to the thought of is that in the regular simple mathematics, a negative and a positive will create a negative. I’m not sure if this is a similar conclusion you have gotten. It made me also think, what would a neutral zero be? Maybe it still can be possible for everything and nothing to be paradoxical. Say there is a man standing upside down, this is negative. Positive is the man up right and perhaps neutral is a man horizontal, or diagonal. The point is what if everything and nothing are to be the same due to it being an infinite possibilities of what direction the man is facing. So as a rephrase, -0; (nothing), 0 (everything and nothing), +0 (everything). Meaning 0 is as well as infinite and that -0 and +0 are actually the same thing.

What I saw was that, neutral would be both due to them canceling each other out meaning they are both positive and negative at the same. Thanks for correcting me, I see that I defined neutral falsely.
In the sentence “Everything is nothing.” the word “Everything” is obscure and unclear what it stands for. There is no indication what “Everything” is denoting in the sentence, hence it is not clear why “Everything is nothing.”
What does “Everything” means or stands for here in particular terms? Is it everything you own? Or everything your country has? Everything the company has produced? Everything you wrote or said? Without this information, “Everything is nothing.” doesn’t make sense at all.
So what you’re saying is if we count information and thought or uttered words it doesn’t apply, then everything is not nothing ?
If information is lost, however, where would it exist ? Much of what exist exists as memories of whatever kind. Matter has something in common in that over time things degrade, like physical objects and propperty, if not completly, quite untraceable in many cases.
To use the word “everything” in meaningful way, it has to have something it is referencing within the context. Without the reference, “Everything is nothing.” is unclear what it actually means.
I’m curious about this, can you go more into depth into the computer code of -0 +0? What I’m understanding and imagining is a immaterial void that we are simply illusions or that “everything” is an illusion that exists in this immaterial “world”?

What do I think? This thread consists of Anitgonish word-salad as a placeholder for thinking. Stringing words together doesn’t always form propositions.
Adding or subtracting zero gives the exact same result. Kinda what zero is. Hence, it is neither positive nor negative. I hope they still teach arithmetic, and you were just away that day.

What the universe means to me is that it consists of “everything” including nothingness, it can be endless as well can have an end. It has a start but it can as well unable to be comprehendible to us when it has started.
Where does the universe start? We can say it started off with the big bang. But since this isn’t an absolute possibility we can also say it has no start. Which is weird because everything should have a start? Babies being born, flowers blooming, but with the universe, we weren’t there to witness this. We can trust science an say the start was due to the big bang but I can also say it has no starting point. Which doesn’t make sense but it can in someway right?
The end of the universe, it can be endless and there can be an end. I have this theory where us humans made this concept of the universe being endless because we will not be able to see the end, so we just assume so. But what if the end is our death, this is the end of our universe.
May be strange to hear that I’m talking about the universe and not being so into the science field. But I do know, everything is in this universe lol, I suppose this is not what you want to hear. It consists of all matter, energy, space, and time.
I hope this clarifies my ground, I am simply on both sides where it can or can not. Although, I can not be absolute, as I know there are many layers of truth beneath the surface. Sorry for the long response, it helps to write everything I think.

You are correct! I find it joyful that I’m in a state of “befuddlement”. But that does not mean I’m not looking for a coherent solution. I should’ve mentioned this in my first post, but I’m sure there are many possible outcomes. Yes, start and no start are just two I see currently but I know there it holds many more possible outcomes because there is a layer, (can’t see all yet) that holds the truth in this claim. It could be this or that or both or all?
Imagine this, three planes/layers. First Plane: DeterminedTruth, Second Plane: PerspectivalTruth, Third Plane: Inner Truth.
Determined truth is where society and all decide what truth is. For example in physics, if a feather is to be dropped, what happens? It will fall and land on a surface. Most of us can agree on this, right? Or the sun and the moon exist because we see it, and when it’s gone we know it’s there somewhere because of evidence of pictures and such, as well as us seeing it before. Even the reason you take a shower, it is decided, a personal act by you. It can be because you want to be clean or it’s relaxing. It is your truth that you have determined.
Perspectival truth, it’s when we see something at a certain angle or perspective. Perspectival truth is what leads us to that of what it can be and what we think we know. This plane can be the reason we see determined truth as it is. It’s our perspective clinging onto what we think we know as true. An example of this is, a “broken pencil”. Some will say it’s a broken pencil, others can say it simply changed shape or some can yell it’s a piece of wood that becomes two pieces or more. It’s all about our angle of how we view things, including concepts. Without perspective nothing can be considered true or false. It correlates with the third plane (will describe below) the inner truth.
The inner truth includes the realm where the soul is placed in. This truth is not reached through reason alone, it is an experience, and where truth is something that is lived rather than observed. It is your truth. This encompasses perspectival truth due to it being our own perspective that can change shape and transform our outlook on anything.
I’m currently talking in the sense of perspectival truth that includes inner truth. This is just an idea/concept, and yes it is engulfing me with confusion, but I hope you can see that there is an attempt to coherency. Hope you can understand where I come from.
